George asked:  “Yo J, just wondering what the benefit would be for you to have a site like this. Will you be selling advertising space or something?”

George:  This site allows me to have one repository to all my presences on the Internet, it allows me complete control of what is posted and when, it also allows twitter followers for instance to come find out some much more than can be conveyed in 140 characters.  Instead of being spread thin people on each of those platforms will receive notification of this post and be able to come here and read the entire article,  Rather than post the same article to 4 or 5 different platforms I post it in one place and post notifications on the 3 or 5 different platforms to notify people and then can come here and visit the post.  Having the site also allows me to introduce people to other interest of mine, for instances many people may know me from technology but not from photography or cooking.

Through this site I am able to share more of me in one place.  The site also enables me to better interact with readers across the internet.  For instance, one viewer, who knows I am an avid cook, has  asked me to post some recipes for them to try at their home.  This request came all the way from a Malaysian friend Hafez, also a foodie, you can follow him on Twitter. In response to Hafez’s request, I have added a food blog and will be populating it with it’s first recipe in the next day or so.

In response to the advertising question, the site does display limited targeted advertising, it allow for coverage of the cost of the site.
