Simple syrup is one of those staples that you incorporate into other recipes, here is my simple non-stovetop method for creating it.
- Prep Time: 3 Minutes
- Ready In: Immediately
- Yields 4 cups
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups of White Sugar
- 3 cups of freshly boiled water
DIRECTIONS:
- Measure sugar into a measuring cup that is capable of holding at least 4 cups
- Add piping hot boiled water from kettle up to the 4 cup mark
- Stir until sugar is completely dissolved the liquid should be as clear as plain water.
SERVING OPTIONS:
Simple syrup is perfect for sweetening recipes in a manner that does not require further stirring to dissolve the sugar crystals.
